The Site by Nite website builder helps you create your own website. Along with the video tutorials and the help files, when you start up the builder, the builder walks you through the steps of creating your own professional website.
You start by selecting a template design out of over 100 available that you would like to use for your site. You can even select the overall color scheme for the design to further customize your site and to tie in with your logo and colors.
Selecting Template Design: You can preview the various designs and color schemes available.
Then you can upload your logo and set the title and copyright information for your site. The builder even helps by starting you out with a few common pages depending on the overall type of site you are creating... retail or service business or a personal site. You can even select or deselect some of the recommended pages, and you can always add, remove, or rename the pages later.
Next the builder presents you with your home page, pre-filled with placeholder text to give you a feel for how the page will look. But you aren't restricted to the layout provided... it's just there to help get you started.
Text Editor: Starting fresh with a new site in the text editing section.
You can edit the layout of the pages in the layout editor. You can literally control and change the layout to your liking. Most sites only allow you to pick a design and then insert your content, but Site by Nite enables you the ability to customize the design within the overall template design. Just drag, drop, or stretch as you wish. You can even adjust the background color of the containers.
Layout Editor: Here you can see the layout editor, which allows you to move containers, change container sizes, and even add or remove containers and much more.
Changing the Layout: Here, you can see a completely new layout, just by moving the existing containers around... all done in less than 5 minutes.
Then you start adding the text and images for each page of your site, add or remove pages. You can determine whether a page is in the main menu or a sub-menu, and rearrange the ordering of pages.
Adding Pages: Along with the ability to control the layout of your site, here we've added 3 new pages, again in less then 5 minutes... not counting adding the content on those pages of course.
Once you get the basic site setup and have gotten a feel for how everything works, you might want to move on to more complex tasks such as adding photo albums or gallery pages or ecommerce products.
You can even do all of this during your free trial. Then once you've joined, your email accounts and the hosting for your site will be setup, and your trial site will be converted over to your live website. If you need a domain name, Site by Nite can help register that and set it up for your site.
After you publish your site, you can return at any time to make changes. You'll be amazed at how easy everything can be. Most importantly, you'll be able to manage your new website efficiently so you can focus your efforts on actually running your business.
